Precertification

For many of the benefits under our insurance plans you are required to seek pre-certification from us as soon as possible and always PRIOR to incurring cost or undertaking any medical treatment or before being admitted to hospital (except in an emergency, in which event we should be informed within 48 hours or as soon as reasonably possible).

Pre-certification may be undertaken by an insured person, the medical practitioner, hospital administrator or a relative – subject to all information being available and verifiable. Your Policy Wording contains important terms, conditions, and instructions on pre-certification procedures. Please ensure you carefully adhere to these.

Failure to follow pre-certification procedures may invalidate your claim or in certain circumstances result in a loss or reduction of cover.

Precertification

What is my Excess?

During application, you can choose to apply an excess to your policy. This must be satisfied before we can pay eligible claims. For example, if your excess is £100.00 and your eligible claim is £200.00 we will reimburse you £100.00.

How do I submit a claim?

Please submit a fully completed claim form along with the original invoices and receipts to:

Please make you sure you keep copies of the documentation, or if you are faxing or emailing your claim, keep the originals as the claims examiners may ask for them at a later date. All claims must be submitted within 90 days of the initial treatment. We may deny cover for any claim submitted thereafter. Please refer to your Policy Wording under the Claims Section from page 24 onwards for full details.

How do I get help with my claim?

We’re here to help! So please contact us at any time before, during or after the claims process using the contact details above. How long will my claim take to process? When all the requested information has been received by our Claims Department, we aim to process claims within 15-20 working days.

How will you pay my eligible claims?

We can pay by: Bank Transfer – Please complete the banking information section on your Claim Form . Visa/MasterCard Credit Card – Please contact us separately if you would prefer this option.
